Innovative Solutions for iTunes Users
Simply Barcodes makes barcoding simple. You face numerous challenges trying to get your music to listeners, so barcoding should not be one of them. Our service helps you achieve business success by ensuring that you select the right code for iTunes and by offering advice on the process.

How do Barcodes for iTunes work?
Barcodes for i-Tunes are general use EAN barcodes not different from other products.

I-Tunes requires that all albums have an EAN and all individual songs have an ISRC.

ISRC codes are a simple, internationally recognized numbering system for audio and music video recordings. The ISRC, in addition to tracking for Billboard charting, also allows you to get paid for digital music sales by ensuring that your royalties are tracked properly (particularly important for iTunes).

We can assist you in obtaining your ISRC codes and properly registering them with the Recording Industry Association. Please call us at 404-869-0701 for assistance on getting ISRC codes for your music.

In what format are my EAN Barcodes for iTunes?
For your convenience, we include your barcode graphic in three different formats so that your graphic artist, printing company, or manufacturing facility can work with your barcode graphic no matter what software system they use:

EPS Format - This layered, vector EPS file is the preferred format of most graphic designers due to its quality and versatility, particularly for resizing. EPS is an "exchange" format, not necessarily associated with one specific graphics program. An exchange format is one intended for multiple applications to be able to open.
TIFF Format - This layered TIFF file works well for graphic artists who need a transparent background. This format is not suitable for significant resizing.
JPEG Format - This uncompressed, high-quality JPEG file is the most common file format. All computers can open a JPEG. However, it is not suitable for resizing.

What do I do with my EAN & ISRC Codes for iTunes when I get them?
You will need to supply the EAN code to iTunes when submitting your complete album for download. If you list individual songs for sale with them then you will need to supply them the ISRC number for each song.

Additionally, if you want to participate in the Billboard Charts, your sales must be tracked in the SoundScan system. SoundScan requires you to have an EAN number to record your album’s performance.

Audio Singles may be tracked via SoundScan for the purpose of Billboard charting by also acquiring an ISRC or an International Standard Recording Code.
